I am an American and I support a return to the true Olympic spirit of amateurs, instead of professionals, competing in the Olympic Games based on the original Eligibility Rules of the International Olympic Committee.
In particular, I support replacing the current model of Team USA Basketball for the Olympic Games with an open tryouts trial competition to allow any skilled American amateur basketball talent to compete for one of 15 roster spots for our Team USA.
I believe that this is the fairest manner for selecting our Team USA for the Olympic Games.
I support the change in this model for USA Basketball and call for adoption by USA Basketball and the US Olympic Committee here and now.
